Enda O'Donoghue – visual artist

Berlin-based Irish artist Enda O'Donoghue creates paintings that explore the intersection between digital imagery, photography and everyday life. His paintings focus on found images subjected to a systematic, near-algorithmic process that mirrors digital image compression, deliberately open to error, misalignment and glitch. O'Donoghue also works in video, digital art and photograph-based art. He has exhibited internationally with recent exhibitions at Kunstverein Neukölln, Berlin; HilbertRaum, Berlin; and Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin. Previous exhibitions include the Moscow Museum of Modern Art; Torrance Art Museum, California; Sam and Adele Golden Gallery, New York; and Overgaden Institute for Contemporary Art, Copenhagen. In 2012 he held a major solo exhibition at Limerick City Gallery of Art and in 2014 was awarded a Golden Foundation Residency in New York State. He has additionally curated a number of group exhibitions.
